Christmas Cookie Party 2010

I know I just showed you cookies yesterday, but we had our annual get together for cookie decorating, so
I thought I would share some of our fun cookies we made.  I promise... no more cookie talk after this
post!!!

These are my friend, Janet's cookies!  Aren't they cute?  I was so busy making my own that I forgot to take pictures of hers, so she sent me some pictures.  I love her lighter colored cookies, but I love the taste of brown sugar in mine, so I used the darker recipe.

These are the ones I made today.  ZZZZ!!! I'm so tired and my back hurts.  I worked on them alllll day!
Off to bed!

After school, my boys made some of their own.  I taught them some of the techniques and they
did quite well.  My 10 year old made the ones on the left and the black one on the bottom.  My almost 8 year old made the ones on the right.  He really liked playing with the bags of icing.

Set up... pre-partying

That was a lot of hard work, but they will make nice presents.
Happy Holidays to you all!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day morning started out with Graham, Vaughn and me making breakfast together. Graham made a sugar-free, fat-free chocolate pudding and Vaughn cut the bananas. I made the crepes. Then they both gave me some nice presents they made for me. Graham and Dad made the memory box at Lowe's Build and Grow. Vaughn made the plant and the card at school. Too cute! Then Jeff gave me the bigger stash of wine, cheeses (yum!) and some cash to go shopping with. Yeah! He knows how much I like to shop :-)

LIttle Paper Baskets for May Day

May Day is coming so I made up some cute little paper baskets to use for teachers and friends.
I now have to figure out how to put flowers in them. Maybe I'll use silk? The template for these baskets are at http://www.primahybrids.com/ and it is free.
